During my commute this morning a plastic heater line broke at the hose clamp near the firewall behind the top of the engine. The hose is now hanging free (I'm holding it in the photo below); the connector that failed is hard to see. I'm hoping this might be a DIY fix but the broken part doesn't look like any component I've found so far on online parts diagrams. This is a 2010 XK coupe. I would certainly appreciate everyone's help in identifying this part. Thanks!
Have you removed the remaining plastic from the tube? From the pic it looks like those are disconnect fittings that you should be able to take off and there is a good chance that there is a part number molded into the plastic.
Also, like many other things sold in the auto industry, the fitting might be sold as part of an entire hose assembly... google C2P2164, not sure if that is it but it looks like it...

I think you may well be right -- if I expand the photo it looks like the broken plastic is over an aluminum tube. It would be *fantastic* if this turns out to be a quick and easy fix!
Cee Jay, the pipe you see on the inside I believe is the pipe coming from the inside of the car from heater core. It’s the outside plastic piece that needs to be removed... should have a release tab and pull off... hard to tell from pic....
Item 1 at the top of the picture below is the heater hose connector to the heater core for the X150. Note they are VIN-specific. The separate hoses are not sold individually.
I haven't looked at the referenced piece on my car but check out the supplier Norma. Norma connectors are used on the supercharger water in/out and I'm sure elsewhere.
It turns out that the broken connector is sold as part of the heater hose, so this was a quick and easy fix... after I got it home. Since flow to the heater is non-critical I plugged both ends of the broken hose with markers, carefully topped up the radiator, then drove home—taking great care to keep the rpms low. Made it with no leaks! I picked up the replacement hose from the dealer for $30 with my other vehicle. The new hose took about 10 minutes to install and top with coolant. I’ll check the levels again tomorrow after some driving.
My XK has 55,000 miles. I believe it may need a new motor mount, which stressed the hose under acceleration.

Thia exact same problem happened to me today! Hose snapped off in exact location. Thought I was going to need replacing of the heater core? Now I know this broken piece is part of the heater hose itself! I googled 2010 Jaguar XK cooling system diagram to get the name of the exact heater hose part and yours was the first I click on because of the pic you provided! As I looked at your broken hose, it looked identical to my broken hose! Again thank you for posting this, fate has smiled on me!
