Default How do you clean the inside of the rear window?

I'm going to have to do it, but I can see 2 ways of doing that:
1. On one's knees on the back seats, trying to reach as far as possible in the hope of cleaning the whole thing
2. Removing the trunk cover, opening it all the way and using some kind of ladder to reach to the top end
or maybe
3. Like #2 but seating in the trunk, not opening it all the way, even holding it down enough...might be the easiest way to clean the whole surface

But I have to say I'm a bit afraid of breaking the little plastic things holding the trunk cover in place...they don't look very solid...

So how do you guys proceed? Thanks for the info!

George,

When you put me to the trouble of going all the way back to your Intro to find this is a Coupe, I nearly didn't reply.

I'm surprised your luggage cover hasn't fallen off before. The rubber 'bungs' holding the four plastic clips are a regular fail. It's easy to remove the cover with the tailgate open (two latch clips - item 1) and then the inside of the glass is accessible for a thorough clean and polish.

Although quite possible by yourself, it does help to have an assistant.

Graham

George, I have to agree with Graham, I don't see "Coupe" in your signature either.

Oh no it doesn't.

Only the seriously inquisitive would even think of clicking on the numbers in My precious 1 - 2 - 3 to reveal the photos. I certainly didn't until I checked the coding in your Signature.

Keep it simple!

Graham

I use this to reach the inside of the back window of my convertible, as well as the inside of the windshield.

Lots of choices on Amazon with adjustable length handles. Here's one:

But isn't a picture worth 1000 words? So what about even 3 pictures?
Regarding the luggage cover, I carefully abstain to touch it to prevent it from falling...
Anyway, thank you again for your quick and very thorough reply.

not when it requires one to be inquisitive enough in the quest to try to help you that they are required to 'click around'
