After a city drive of stop and go, I decided to set up my OBD2 reader after my car was idling for about 15 minutes at 93 degrees outside. I consistently got a reading of 210 degrees Fahrenheit. I didn't check while I was driving. Am I good?

 

Yes, 190-210's on the low side. I've seen temps peak in the 220s. Danger zone's over 250F.

 

Thanks Jahammer. I’ll give it a run on the highway next time expecting it to get down to the lower limits. It’s just so incredibly hot these days I was curious to know where I was at. It sure takes forever to cool down in my small garage as I usually leave the hood up and garage door open to help. I know some owners take the beauty cover off but I haven’t gone that route. Thank God I changed all the plastic hoses and water pump a few years ago!

 

Took my Jag on a 60 mile highway journey in the 94 degree scorching heat today, showing a constant 190-194 Fahrenheit reading on my OBD 2 reader at about 70 mph. Sound about right?

210 is what I’m getting on my XKR even in hot weather. Another 430 fan. Still have my 06. Can’t bring myself to sell it but it’s been sitting for months.
