I have a set of Kalimnos that i want to sell. Im unsure of the price of these. The fronts have michelin pilot sport 4 s's with a lot of tread and the rear have no tyres. They're in very good condition, have been ceramic coated and no buckles/chips.
Any advice will be of great help. Thank you
Then decide the quality of yours and put them in the classifieds. High Definition pictures are usually preferred by buyers.
Include the size and offset of front and rears.
That doesn't really help. As the links are either of brand new ones or of people asking about them. I've looked on eBay and theres only 1 listing with black Kalimnos, but that's a single rear black one with a different tyre one.
Hence why i asked here, as I thought people might be more knowledgeable than just putting a google search link.
I would have bought them from you in a heartbeat for $600 and looking for some.
They are worth more. You should be looking for 800, or 300 per wheel with tyre.
Shame we were once next door. The logistics are impractical now.
But if you dont sell them, I might have some interesting news, its the project I am working on that I needed the extra set of Kalminos for.

Yeah sorry pauleddy, I wasn't trying to be smarmy. eBay is telling you the market value of these wheels, just like NADA (here in the US) tells you the value of your car. Of course individual prices will vary depending on condition and there may be someone who's really interested in them and will pay up.
Have you ever bought a used tire? I haven't since I was a kid and never would. That said, I would separate them from the wheels and sell them locally. Also, unless the sale is local, including tires will really add to shipping costs. Your market is even more limited based on your location I'm guessing but maybe the XK is more common where you live.
The reason I suggested to note the size of each wheel is so you can not only help those on this forum, but increase your sales opportunity for other models.

DON'T BITE THE MEMBERS ...... because I've got a very big bite when necessary.
I was looking for a 8 x 20 Kalimnos (front) a few months ago as one of mine was distorted. At least six listings for single wheels on eBay UK at the time and asking prices were between 240 to 280 UKP apart from one deluded dreamer who clearly believed they hold their value. There didn't seem to be much variation in asking prices for 8 x 20 Kalimnos (front) and for the 9.5 x 20Kalimnos (rear). I've never seen a full set listed.
As suggested by Sean W, I agree that used tyres add little, if anything to the value and could even make a sale more difficult. As suggested by Queen and Country, high definition photos are essential. I was surprised at what some listers were describing as "very good" or "excellent".

Wasn't trying to bite, I just thought he was being funny when i was asking for advice.
Are the fronts 8x20? I always thought they were 8.5x20 on the 5.0 XKR's?
These are very good condition, I've had them ceramic coated and refurbed when i got my car last year. They just need a clean which i will do on Monday and take some proper pictures of them. Insides and all. Yeah not sure what to do with the tyre as it's near enough brand new, had it changed beginning of the year, then bought the new wheels 2 months after! Silly me lol.
Thanks for the advice, I'll put them up for £1000 ono on eBay.
I can understand why you bought new wheels. I hate cleaning Kalimnos!
Graham
Haha, no worries, I thought i had been saying the wrong spec for ages!
Yeah they are fairly annoying, especially between the two close spokes! I was planning on keeping them as spare wheels, but as i have another car, this seems like a stupid idea!
Thanks again for that info, I'll get that pictured as well!

Pauleddy, I do tend to make jokes on the forum and I could have elaborated a bit more on my initial post, so I fully understand your reply. Looks like you have enough info now to price your wheels!

All good, no hard feelings!
Certainly do, will be on eBay soon
Its honestly a 1 minute a wheel job for me, with zero frustration.
Most times I dont even have to touch it.
May I describe my method in the slim change I might have stumbled upon something. I am unsure which one of the below is responsible for the ease.
cleaned my wheels to exactly the condition I see in your picture
applied 3 coats of cquartz uk edition. (only because I was going to throw it out)
I use a small wash cloth 6x6 with car wash soap. That and fingers contour perfectly in all the nooks.
make it a point to wash wheels every time I wash the car
I dont bother with the area behind the caliper- if I needed to for a car show, it does take extra time as I move the vehicle few feet to expose that area. But if doing this I wash the wheels before washing the car so as not to open a wet car.
once every 4 wheel washes I use a painters brush to clean the stud cavities and the hex head bolts.
Graham,
Here is a video of me rinsing the wheels.
Just attempting to repay the debt, in case the frustration is real.
Note the ceramic coating affords the touch-less rinsing which in turn prevents the accumulation in the first place. All thanks to the nonstick properties which also means no need to dry, other than by driving.
I despise wheels with either fake bolt heads or sockets, or even the real bolts or whatever. Minimal style and a RPITA to keep clean. Wires could also fit into that category.
