Quite the bummer. I just contacted navigation.com and they said they were no longer updating the maps for this. Their last version is 2013-14.

Guess I'll keep eyeing this thread to see how everyone's experience is with the Volvo disk.

Hopefully its not the case, but in searching a Volvo forum, the only responses to questions about changing the language, were to take it to the dealer to get a software update.

Not sure if the latest Volvo disk is actually any newer than the last Jaguar disk. We know that the Volvo disk works, and if it's cheaper than the Jag disk buy the Volvo disk. At least it's not older than the Jag disk. Why wait? Your 2009 has maps from 2008, just like mine used to have.

Actually, I updated my 2009 XK to 2012-13 a few years back, and just bought an 2011 XKR. Probably going to flip the nav software from the cars.

In Australia the newest disc for the XK (and XF, and the LR2, LR3 and Range Rover Sport up to 2009MY) is from 2013, but those Volvo models use the same system, and the discs are 100% compatible.
I've got a 2017 Volvo version in my XKR, works perfectly.
Note that the map version date is one year behind the market release, V 05.16.02 is 2016, but it's sold as a 2017 update.
I have 2015 F-Type, the navshop sells V22 only for F-types, do you think the Volvo V23 would work?

No, it's a different system in the F-Type

I have the 2016 Volvo disk set for the United States & have no need for the Eastern US. If someone wants the Eastern US disk I'd part with it for half of what I paid. Send a PM if interested. I'd take $90 for it.

I'm puzzled, as the Volvo Nav update that I recently bought covers the entire USA on one disk. Disk 1 is for the update and Disk 2 is the maps. I don't have separate disks for the East Coast and West Coast.

I just put disc A in and it updated and disc A also has the maps on it with my state Illinois. I never put disc B in. I'm also confused.

That's what I was hoping for, but didn't receive. Still ... I now have updated maps ... which is nice.

Stuart, you may be right, but when I got the disks my impression from looking at the list of states on each was that they were divided East/West with a LOT of overlap. Meaning that Illinois would be on both disks. Someone with one of the disks outside the car could check.

Merry Christmas to all

yes that's correct. Both discs I got have Illinois. That's why I updated with disc A and kept it in. Merry Christmas!

I doubt that a Volvo disk would work in a Jaguar after Brexit.

Some Volvo's have an internal HDD which stores the maps, those are a different system, not compatible with the XK.
and just to be crystal clear, the DVD for a 2012 S80 is NOT compatible?
