Default No turn signal noise?

I just traded in my XKR for an XKR-S. I noticed almost immediately that the turn signals don't tik-tok and no seatbelt warnings sound, either.

I see this is was a recall on earlier XFs, but can't find any mention of it for any XK.

Has anybody dealt with this before, and have a fix?

There is a little speaker on the back of the instrument cluster. Not a hard job to pull it and replace the speaker. I'm pretty sure there is a quick how-to in the forums somewhere. Tried the Search yet? It works OK sometimes.

All searches I've seen have been for other and older Jags. I haven't seen any for X150s.

The speaker is defective. I replaced mine, simply remove the dash. Bought a new speaker from Germany and soldered it in. It was so annoying with all the alarms, rings and other stupid noises, I took it out again. It is a 2 hour job and not difficult so make your choice. Failure rates seem very high on R-S models

Very good to know it's just a simple speaker on the X150s and not a digital component.

So when you removed the dash, that included the entire cluster/instrument panel?

Yes, the instrument cluster is removed and then you take the gauge pack apart. It sounds daunting but it really is not difficult. Download the manual and you will see with a few basic hand tools it is easily done. Hardest part is soldering in the new speaker and if I remember correctly it only had two or three connections on it. I kept my new speaker in case when I sell the car, I can install the speaker again if desired.

Where'd you source the speaker from? Let me know if you have a link. It's something I'd like to get done for sure.

I got it from eBay Germany. It was from a VW. I will have to get the part number and you can search for it.
