Is it a "Portfolio" if the treadplates say "Jaguar"?
I just took possession of my 2008 XKR coupe from the shipper. Celestial black, charcoal interior, Alcons, Cremona wheels, Bowers and Wilkins, adaptive cruise control, double stiched leather all over everything, walnut, everything on the Portfolio list but the treadplates say "Jaguar". Build date 07/07. I don't have a window sticker. So, is this a "Portfolio" or not?

@Ex-Saabophile Does it have polished alloy side vents, portfolio badge on the boot and an alloy shift knob? Those also were exclusive to the Portfolio.

For my discussion with Jaguar Customer Relationship Centre regarding model badging and naming, see this thread:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/j...-badge-228436/
I came to the conclusion:
1. Jaguar CRC had no idea what they were talking about and didn't even read their own company documents.
2. model naming is more a Marketing thing
3. Marketing don't talk to Manufacturing
In 2014 Jaguar slashed 10,000 UKP off the Portfolio and (apparently) replaced it with the Signature model. It appears no one told Manufacturing and they continued to build the fully optioned X150's as Portfolio's.
Don't worry too much about the name. It's the specification and options that matter.

The 4.2L.North American market XKR Portfolio was marketed as a separate, top-of-the-line, limited production model from 2008 to 2009 in both coupes and convertibles. All 2008 XKR Portfolio models were Celestial Black with Cremona wheels and all 2009 XKR Portfolio models were Shadow Grey with Selena wheels. For 2009, two interior choices were available, Charcoal with Cranberry stitching and Ivory with Slate. For 2009, the Alcon Performance Brake Package was a $5,000 option and Adaptive Cruise Control was a $2,200 option. Other Portfolio-only goodies included genuine leather- bound Leaper logo floor mats and milled aluminum side vents (crazy expensive).
How Rare Is My 2009 XKR Portfolio Convertible?
The limited production Portfolio models ended with the introduction of the 5.0L models in 2010. Sometime thereafter, Portfolio became an optional trim package and was not a separate model
