Default Saturday morning canyon run

Met up with a half dozen forum members this morning for a "spirited" run through the Santa Monica Mountains. We met in Marina Del Rey, drove up Pacific Coast Highway to Topanga Canyon to Old Topanga and up to Tuna Canyon and back to the ocean. Lots of curves, lots of fun. (I had to leave early and skip lunch to attend a wedding, but fun nevertheless). All the other forum members were F-type owners, and the 2016 R coupe that I was following was so loud, it was joyous. I hope we do this more often with other members with any type of Jaguar.
Photos are not uploading as files must be too big. Will upload later.

Nice pictures. It isnt often that you see the f type next to the xk, and really I think that they are different enough that the f type doesnt date the xk at all.

I'll have the red one, thanks - for my weekend car.

Bruce,
To tell the truth, the front end of the XK/XKR is considerably lower as it slopes down to the front than the F-type. I much prefer that slope on the XK/XKR. I even like the rear slope and shape as much, although it is beautiful on the F-type as well. One thing I would love to have from the F-type for our cars is a band around the grill that sets the grill off from the bumper. I have experimented with tape on fabricating one. Today on the f-types, some of them have a chrome band and some a black one, but I do like that and had played around with it months ago.

Jag did sell contrasting grill surrounds as part of different grill sets but I'm not sure whether they had them for our year model.

I ended up with the black grills which I like a lot. The only thing I'd like to experiment with now is a bit of wrap on the part of the sill which sticks out under the door, like the f type or XE, but it'd need to be professionally done.

Great roads - great place - I've been over here in Thousand Oaks, LA visiting my brother the past few weeks - did Mulholland and PCH in Malibu in a Slingshot and on a BMW SB1000RR motorcycle. Great roads. Spain bound in the morning!

That's a Slingshot, they've even started showing up here in the Midwest.
Guess a snowmobile company's got to do something in the summer...
