Sirius Question
Ran into something this weekend, so need a little help figuring out just what is going on.
For those of you with '07s would you please check your radio for channel 115. There was a ballgame on Saturday night, as I was driving back from my game, and I was surprised to find out that 115 was not a valid channel. I can see 114 and 116 and the message was not "not subscribed". So, wondering if something is wrong with my radio or if that is just something common with that year.
Oh, I also checked the Sirius site and 115 is part of my package.
Thanks

SiriusXM redefined the channel numbers a few weeks ago. If you had presets, they should have moved automatically.
If you did not have presets for the channel you are looking for, look up the channel you want by name (not channel number) on their website for the new channel number.

Thanks Steve, but I was looking for a specific broadcast, which the Sirius website said was on channel 115. When I put in the number, my radio said it was not a valid channel..so I was just wondering if this was just my radio or if other '07 owners had the same "missing" channel.

There was no news on Saturday night.....They were supposed to have the 'Bama-Ole Miss game.
Wound up having to listen to the Stanford-USC game from "the other coast"
It really was just a one-off thing, trying to find out if that channel was supposed to be there or not.

I'm reviving this old thread, basically the same question. Mine is an '07 and looking at the satellite modules the same one seems to fit multiple years just like the Nav module. I'm still having channels that are in my package that come back as "invalid channel". So, I wondering if I have a defective module. Examples are channels 115, 136, 137.
Can someone tell me if there is a difference in the model years, etc.
Please don't tell me I don't need it, as where I live there is no way to get a normal radio signal, looking up is the only way. Just like my Directv.
Thanks

I have an 07 and have the same problem with certain channels. The grandkids like KIDZBOP and I get it on my '16 Explorer but it shows Invalid Channel on the Jag. Went round and round with Sirius for multiple activations and they gave up indicating it might require a software update from the dealer.

Update for those interested. I was able to get a Sirius module from a 2011 XK off EBay. Install was really easy. Start to finish less than an hour, including dealing with the convert separator (which is always fun) and getting the module activated on SiriusXM.com. Module fired right up and includes the stations I was missing.
Just fyi, my old module had a build date of '06.

I believe in the boot on the right hand side. There is a removable cover that is attached with four hand nuts. First you have to take out the luggage separator to get to the cover. The battery is on the left hand side and the gps and audio equipment is on the rh side. If you have the owners manual take a look there. Otherwise for better info. in the search box at the top right hand side of this page type in sirius module.
Thanks. In looking on eBay, it shows only 2007-09 as compatible. You indicated that you used a 2011 module, which the eBay compatibility tool indicates won't work, and the part number is different. They were both made by Ford/Visteon. Just want to confirm that a 2011 module works in a 2007.
Yes. The one I bought came from a 2011 according to seller. It has a build date of 4/5/10 and it worked as soon as I turned it on. I haven't spent any time with it yet, so can't tell you it the pre-sets stick or not, but I did confirm that the missing channels that I was interested in were there. I have a trip later this week, will know more after that.
Were you able to confirm that the Sirius module worked properly? I'd like to get a newer one like you did, if it works. Not much point in replacing my module with one that has the same limitations.
eBay's compatibility feature is pretty weak. A lot of the compatible vehicle list is compiled by the seller.
In other news, has anyone found a decent antenna that lets you drive through the woods and listen to more than stuttering music?
