Size of hex wrench for 2010 XKR front brakes = 9 mm
I have a quick question about the size of the hex wrench that is used in the two bolts that hold the outer caliper in place on the front brakes on a 2010 XKR. They are the standard non-Alcon 15" vented brake discs.
I have a set of wrenches that I used on my 2007 XK however the hex size on the 2010 seems to be larger.
Can anyone advise what the correct size is?
Thanks in advance

Thanks Ian. I have a wrench set of long hex sockets which jumps from 8mm to 10mm. It was fine for the bolts on the '07 caliper and I wanted to know if the head was metric or SAE before going out to buy the size I'm missing. Sounds like I'm in need of a 9mm hex socket.

This has been covered about a million times on these forums (I exaggerate only a little!) but if you have either the JLR 355 mm or 380 mm front brakes (pretty much standard across all North American JLR offerings since at least 2008) then you need a 9 mm hex driver to undo the caliper slide pins.
