Default is there heated mirrors and front screen in 20077xkr

on my 2007 xkr it has only one button on each side under heater arrow butttons, left, R with heat symbol, right side button has heat symbol but no letter ,is this for the front screen, no DEF button, have i heated mirrors and windscreen, also no seat side lumber adjustment, is this normal for this year of car has no knob to adjust, just new to car so a learning curve, my old 04 xk had all features, also how do i remove the cover on the inside cabin lighting to change a bulb

The second item on the lead page for current xk/xkrs is the handbook. You should be able to find the information you are looking for in there. I know that the heated windshield was an option for 2012. I also know that you have a heated rear window and a defroster for the windshield and the controls you mention are probably those.

You don't have the heated front screen - there would be an "F" button next to the "R" button on the left if you did. The one on the right side is the Defrost setting for the Climate system; it switches on the fan, the screen heaters, mirror heaters and recirculate mode.

I'm not 100% sure heated mirrors were standard on the 07 cars; there's no button for them, they're automatic based on exterior temperature.

its a matter of chosen options.. my 2007 has heated windshield (the F) and both seats heated in 3 different modes (low-med-hi).. (although where I live, it never ever goes below 15C)

You'll know if you have a heated windshield; you'll see the lines.

Although the weather is always good.. (relatively speaking to Ireland that is..).. it's very dusty in the middle-east.. and when it rains, its not pure water, its more like falling mud drops making your car looking like a bad case of chickenpocks.... well its a Jag.. so more like freckles

anyway.. 3 times a week it needs washing/dusting to keep the car shining.. every country has its good and bad....
