Plus, I forgot the fanaticism with OEM that the Brits have.

Burch1,
Mina galleries in Los Angeles has several different styles of hood louvres that are very similar. You might want to take a look at their website.

Default Restored Alcon calipers, full chrome rims

All 4 20” rims chromed and looking awesome. Cal Chrome $200 usd per rim to have the front portion chromed. I highly recommend Cal Chrome, it took some time since mine went through the plating process twice to meet their quality standards.

Original condition showing polished factory front and brake dust damage which was hidden behind the rotors.

Rear 4 piston Alcon in primer

Rear Alcon completed and installed with new 355mm Rotor and ceramic pads.

Fully reconditioned and chromed inside rim. $150 usd per rim.

Front Alcon finished and installed with new 400mm rotor and ceramic pads.

They look great! Where did you get the ceramic pads? Who is the manufacturer and what are the front and rear part numbers?

Tried a different LED bulb previously that wasn't frosted and had a refractory effect through the plastic lens in the mirror cover. The frosted bulbs are much better.
Thanks for the link, have checked on UK amazon and ebay and no such animal (frosted bulbs) exist, so will order some stateside and have them delivered to my brother in KY who comes over 8th Dec.

Those my friend are a thing of beauty!

Was a little surprised that my 2014 XK Dynamic R with 'Super Performance Brakes' were only single pot at the rear and double at the front.

So let's all see pics with the alloys fitted please!?

Well it was last Thursday but I washed and waxed it, inflated the tires to 40psi, dryer sheets on the floor, fuel stabilizer, battery maintainer, covered it for the winter.

Default New rotors and pads

i found these on the web site Brakeperformance.com and the rotors I ended up with were exact factory looking to include the quarter moon cut outs. I received a call after placing my order for slotted and drilled rotors telling me they didn’t have them available for the Alcon brakes with the 400mm rotors, good news was they did have the factory spec rotors which they would sell for the same price. Total price for all 4 rotors 355mm rear, 40”mm front with ceramic pads was less than $500usd so major score! I’ll post more pics later since I just got the tires mounted onto the newly chromed OEM rims. They look amazing especially compared to what they looked like when I started this process.

I washed, DA Polished with Chemical guys VSS (Amazing stuff!!) Then a good coat of Chemical guys butter wet wax (Again awesome product) both are stupid easy to apply and ZERO hazing on plastic if you touch.
Changed out my driver side brake light bulb (Had a warning when I cranked her up this morning) then detailed the inside.
She is so nice and clean now. I hate to take her out side lol

Backed her out of the garage (so I had room to put the snow tires on my 'winter' car).
Inflated the tires to 42 psi, parked her back in the garage on plywood squares, and plugged her in for the winter nap.
Sniff...

It’s a Duracell AGM...4 year warranty, great service, easy free install, in & out in 20 minutes. Had to reset the e-brake, windows, clock. Put the top down when I got home, no issues.

I also changed my shift knob from the leather one to a burled walnut and installed a Kuda phone mount. I had one in my SL500 and was happy to see that they had one for this car. Tried to attach a photo...didn’t work.

My screen will sometimes light up bright when the car forgets my brightness setting.

Had an oddball experience last night on the way home on a burr cold evening. Traffic was out of control so I ran the back roads. Passed a soccer mom mobile on a downhill stretch and the engine hit the limiter in 2nd and 3rd, in drive. We also went from 30 to 70 darned quick. Never had that happen before. Wahhh, bark, bang, upshift. I think the car accelerated faster than even it expected, lol.

Default New Jag owner and very busy first week

Hello everyone, just purchased my first Jag, a 2010 XKR with 41k on the odometer. Drove it home from the dealer and got right to work.
1. Powder coated the wheels, and new Conti DSW tires.
2. Installed K&N filters
3. installed new cabin filter
4. Fixed the glovebox from falling as per TSB
5. Installed a Bluetooth receiver for stereo
6. Ceramic coated the paint after days of prep.
Next:
8. re-decal the calipers and clear coat the plates.
9. Install “R” emblem on front grill. ( tried everything except pulling the bumper cover off, I guess that’s the only way to get in there) any tips would be appreciated!!
10. Ordered new center caps for wheels.
