I just hope my wheels turn out half as good as these look! Your powder coater's shop looks a bit neater than mine too. LOL

I’m still waiting on the decals, I ordered them two days ago on EBay. In fact, I over ordered in two different sizes 25x48mm, and 26x45mm. In the green/red/white colors. Probably 10 days before the get here from Serbia.... lol. But, Ivwill post once completed !

I did the Serbian ones. Had him make them to match what my old ones measured.

Spent an hour last night changing the oil.

There's 4 grub screws that attach it to the original so it's really nice and sturdy.

By memory they came in 3 different colours I went aluminium to match it to my dash facia.

Haven't got the link but I'll take a look through my PayPal account as I purchased through eBay

Are these metal and are they stock on later XF's?

Can you post up a link as would love to have metal paddles, the black plastic IMO just ruins the look...and may encourage me to use them!

Or do I just order from Jaguar, if so part numbers would be useful

Metal, aftermarket from China. See the link in my post #587, above. Here's a quote:

"Made from high quality cast aluminum, easy installation. The curved design corresponds to the curvature of the steering wheel. They fit over the existing paddles and come with tiny set screws an Allen wrench and 3M double sided tape. I put the 3M tape in, but didn't expose the adhesive so I could easily remove them in case I didn't like them. With 4 set screws (2 on each side, top and bottom), they're secure. And they feel so much better to the touch than the OEM plastic paddles. The OEM paddles retain the illuminated +and - so it doesn't matter that the extensions aren't illuminated. A nice touch for under $35.

Mine are just like Stuart's. I did one further thing. they are slightly bent so as to conform better to the wheel.

Default Took it to the dealer

So, while I had my “new to me” awesome XKR on jack stands the last two weeks...while the wheels were being Powder coated. I did some poking around, cleaned the bottom of the rockers, fixed the glovebox dropping issue per the TSB and removed the under car shrouds. That’s when I saw it! Oil all over the front of the oil pan. Remind you I have only had this car three weeks. I called my salesman on his cell phone ( big mistake he made giving me that) and tell him how upset I am and want the car checked out immediately! So off to the dealer yesterday morning. 2 hours waiting I get a text. “We have checked your car over, reset your tire pressure. Free of charge. Then it says to scroll to see what else they found. So I do and my heart drops... front main seal leaking. Cost $926.00. I walk over to the service counter with my phone in the air showing the text. The nice man say to me , I was just about to come look for you sir. I said this is covered under warranty right? He replies, Sir your warranty has been expired for many years. I say, oh no, I bought this car three weeks ago with the best warranty you sell! He slumped over and replied let me check....yes sir your right it’s covered 100 percent. But it’s alittle to soon to submit a claim, can you come back in a week or two, we need to order the parts.
I said sure as long as you give me a loaner and it’s all covered....see you on the 27th.

So thats 1/3 of my warranty premium in the first month .

$ 926 for a front seal that's ridiculous

Rebuilt the heater blower motor it had seized from excessive water from the clogged duckbill

Also shut down 2 of the 4 tail pipes car was too raspy with the 100 cells.. funny how your sensors can play tricks on you as the car appears to feel smoother now and slightly less punchy

Default A balmy 38°...

...on Long Island today, so got a chance to replace the leaking coolant reservoir tank which arrived yesterday. 2007 X150 coupé, 81.783 miles. Did some Dremel work on the "tongue" at the bottom of the tank so the next soul will have an easier time removing it. Nice to have a drive again!!!
