Well after almost two years of living with that damn light coming and going, and having tried all the inflation, deflation tricks, but have not gone to the dealer since my car is an '07 and because that does not seem to guarantee success, I had a thought. What if I bought this...

Is there a way to just turn the bloody thing off

 

I cant help with the device but my service guys tried swapping the wheels over which they reckoned sometimes fixes it (it didnt in my case). Apparently (if I am remembering it right) the wifi sometimes trips the sensor and changing sides on the wheels can sort it.

Ultimately though what fixed mine was the inflation trick. With an 07 it might be the batteries, too.

 

Those caps are cool and all, but there is the chance of air leaking out as the schrader valves must be held open by the caps. There are super-cheap ones that have color coded lines instead of a transmitter.

 

Thanks CeeJay, I completely forgot about the positive post access behind the plastic grate.

 

I've tried the 'inflation trick' a few times, with only temporary success. Too bad you can turn off the center display much like the nav/radio screen.

 

When swapping wheels remember most tires are unidirectional!! Just look at the sidewall!

Did you check the wiring behind the front bumper?

 

I recently removed a set Oro-Tek TPMS (purchased in 2014) and replaced them with OEM Siemens VDO 53001 sensors. I have had no reported problems and the warning light on the dash has never came on.

I believe the key is getting OEM TPMS sensors and having them installed. While many aftermarket TPMS state they are compatible with the Jaguar brand, they are not.

It only took about 6 minutes for my Jaguar to relearn the new sensors. The cost of the Siemens VDO 53001 sensors were $222.00 plus $48.00 to install them at my local Discount Tire store.

That's the only thing that worked for me. I disassembled my front/right side loom, re-taped and re-ran the thing down to the sensor. It's the only thing that worked for me, and I haven't seen the warning since performing that task last August. Yaaaaas!
