Default Which 18" Wheels Will Clear Brembo Calipers?

Good Morning,

On my 2002 XKR, I have replaced the original double five wheels with some 20" BBS wheels. Therefore my existing spare will no longer work if needed and what I would like to do is find a used 18" wheel to use as a spare and then find a decent tire. The double five's will not clear the Brembo calipers but from what I understand other ones will (but not sure which). Another option is finding one of the orange donut spares, but I think these would likely have an old tire on them.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Rob

Pretty sure the Hydra wheels would work. Not sure about the similar-looking Ares/Aris/Arris.

The spare tire is not occupying much space, but a Hydra wheel will. Will you be able to fit the lid over the spare wheel in the boot? I doubt it

After fitting brembos at my Xkr I simply removed the spare tire saving weight

Why not a space saver spare tire? My XKR has Brembo brakes and came with a factory donut spare tire in the boot.

1. Yes 18" Hydra (14spoke) is working with the 355 brembo discs and big brembo calipers up front without problem !
This attached photos is a good example : 2003 XKR convertible - with 18" Hydra wheels + Brembo big brakes

I run Hydra wheels on my XKR with brembo brakes. They where sold as the winter set I think or something like that. I had the 20" detroit wheels on before but I wanted to go to larger sidewalls, frankly the car handles the same but it's more comfortable and the tyres are much cheaper and last longer then 1-2 years.

Why would you want an 18" spare if the other 3 would be 20".?
