Constant abs light cruise unavailable dsc unavailable and speedo works intermitantly. Ive replaced the brake switch and cleaned the rear sensors and rings a couple of times. I had the clocks out to clean the connections and noticed some suspicious looking soldering near the ribbons. I just thought it might be worth having them tested to rule the gauges out. Im not good with electrical stuff. Its a 2003 xkr.

The speed input is from the ABS module so I would suspect the CANBUS losing the signal.

The ABS light is ON so there are DTCs stored that will tell you where to start.
A simple thing like a wheel speed link harness will cause all sorts of issues.

Yes, it keeps throwing right rear wheel speed sensor. Ive cleaned it twice and the reluctor ring. Tested sensor and wires, all seems good. This is why im now looking at the cluster and other things. Unless im missing something with the sensor?

Check the live data using an OBD dongle and the Torque app to see what speed the car thinks it's doing. You can then immediately rule the instrument cluster in or out.

Ok thanks for that advice. I will add it to the list. I have a replacement wheel sensor harness on the way and will also try that. It keeps throwing a code for right rear wheel sensor so ill have a go round that though im sure the rear sensors tested fine.

If a high mileage car, you may also want to check for slop in the rear wheel/hub bearing(s).

Hi, i have the car up on axle stands and ran it yesterday. I got a speed reading on the live data that matched the speedo. This was only a short test due to safety. When driving the car the speedo will just stop registering then re start working again when the car is re started. All other instrustments work fine. I have swapped the rear sensors around and cleared the codes. I still have cruise unavailable showing but the abs is off for now. I have ordered 2 new sensors and a replacement right rear link cable. Any thoughts folks?

You need to test it on the road and see if the live speed data also stops when the speedo stops.

Thankyou. I will do that over the next 2-3 weeks with the new parts fitted and report back. Appreciate the help.
