Default 2003 Jaguar XKR

Hello...new to the forum. Was wondering if the supercharged on the dash should be lit? All other dash lights work. Also...anyone have their driver side air bag light coming on only when its hot out? During the cooler months here it never illuminated. Thanks!!

welcome the forum. please use a more descriptive subject line in the future. from other cars, hot temperature airbag lights are often caused by a bad acceleration sensor. a high level scanner along with proper testing procedure will identify if this is the exact problem. there is probably a permanent air-bag code for your issue that is stored. a high level scanner is needed to access it.

The supercharged is not lit, it is just painted on the dial.

The airbag codes are one of the few things you can get without a scanner. Linked in the sticky on the main page: Air Bag 'Flashing' Codes straight from a Jaguar TSB (in pdf)

This won't tell you how to fix it or let you clear the code, but should at least tell you which sensor is the problem.

What airbag codes is it flashing? For instance you turn on the ignition the airbag symbol flashes twice. There is a pause. It flashes twice again. That would be a 2.2 code. What is yours flashing?

Actually it isn't a code... Just when I drive it and it's very hot here in Las Vegas after 10 or 15 minutes of driving the airbag light will be begin flashing and then we'll stay illuminated

That flashing is the code. As I said its flash......... pause.......... flash again. If you count the number of flashes before/after the pause and tell us we could probably tell you where the fault lies.
