Hi guys, I have had ly 96 XK8 Cab on storage during winter, at the time, the battery was discnnected.
When I reconnected the battery, the car started, but I have no contact with my left (driver) door, central locking, window controls, (controls both windows), remote control cant open door, but flasher blinks, window dont go down when opening the door, or opening/closing the roof., mirrors also not functioning.
I suspect the micro switch in the door lock, But I see that the door lock with the sensor is obsolete from Jaguar.
I was thinking if I deleted the errorcodes with a diagnostic unit, problem coulde be solved, but system only find the passenger door, and no contact with the drivers door. Just like it's not there.
I live in Norway, but my car is an early version for the US marked.
Do you have any suggestions for me to solve these problems?
However, there are some other checks I'd suggest first. Is the battery fully charged (>12.5 volts at rest). I know that you've had the battery disconnected, but try a hard reset: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...46/#post520876
You might have an issue with the multiway plug in the door jamb, or posssibly the door module. Have you checked the relevant fuses?
Do the $0 checks first and report back.
