Guys, It's simple....Real Gauge or No Gauge...and it looks great with the numbers an all....The Big Plus is that it works! for about a Hundred Bucks or so! It's the best thing you can do to your XKR.....Also, this gives you the opportunity to replace your Dash Lights with LED's....Makes it look out of this World....

Or just put a less then 20 dollar OBD2 head up display projecting the real temp on your windscreen (or speed of you are interested in that...:-))
It even has an overtemp alarm.
Maybe wait ordering from that particular country for a while.

Ekskaar and Double D,

We just got sucked into one of those old Threads that ended back in 2013.....I promised myself that I would not let myself be pulled into one of these situations again....but I did! I promise not to enter another Thread until I completely check it out!

Please, why do we continue to have this happen? Can't someone do something about it?

On the other hand, it wasn't useless, it reminded me I wanted to get a passel of RealGauges. Done and thanks for the reminder.

Default Realgauge is on my 2020 To Do list

BCP,

To be fair, you weren’t the one that re-opened this 2013 thread.

Also it was a timely reminder for me to order the Real Gauge as part of my 99MY XK8 2020 coolant system renewal project. Cheap, relatively easy and lots of good reviews here.

Really don’t know why modern cars have seemed to “bury” this essential feature.

Supposedly too many owners complained that their car was running too cold or too hot as the older gauge's needle moved around.
