forceofhabit,
I have moved your post from the forum for the XJ40 to the forum for the X100, which is the Jaguar factory project code for your 2000 XK8. Here you will find knowledgeable owners of similar cars.
Cheers,
Don

It attaches here, just below the throttle body.

Also order one of these Jaguar
Jaguar BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM HOSE CONNECTOR KIT - C2S15816
Fitting it was tricky, I managed to lose an o-ring into the intake manifold.

Looking at SNG diagram, is this a 2 piece pipe? There is a brake vacuum pipe and a vacuum pipe. which one connected to the T/B? The same situation shows up on the 2003 fwd. There is a Brake vac. and a Vac. pipe. Which part # would one order or what is the Vacuum pipe only? The connector kit sounds good, but which pipe to order is the question. Hopefully there is only one (1) pipe going to the booster and it has a ck valve?

The pipe I show is parts 13/20 from the SNG catalog, it goes from the inlet manifold to the bulkhead of the compartment that the brake booster is in, it does not go directly to the brake booster. At the bulkhead it connects to the end of part 9/22.
The sng pic of 9/22 is not very good, here is a better one I found on line.

Yes it's available either frrom a dealer or SNG Barratt.
There's no need to replace the brass ferrule, just the 'O' ring and plastic locking insert.
