Clear Code P1582
I am trying to clear the code P1582 (Flight Recorder Data Is Stored). I am very confident that it developed from “engine starts and stumbles”. I am using a Foxwell OBD2 reader but am not sure how to clear this fault code.
If anyone could help with this it would be very much appreciated.

Why do you need to clear it? It's only to indicate to an engineer that there is troubleshooting data available.
Is there a Vehicle Configuration menu in your reader? The code can't be erased in the normal way, you need to go into that menu.

Thanks lads for the feedback.
I have been working on this system for only a short time and still trying to get my head around some of the information and acronyms.
Motorcarman, would you please be able to explain your paragraph a bit clearer for a novice on the system.
Thanks
"P1582 = EDR (Engine Data Recorder)
Can only be cleared by reading the 37 frames of the 'EVENT' in the ECM and then the PDU/WDS/IDS will ask if you want to delete the info."

When P1582 DTC in logged in the ECM, there is DATA logged for some EVENT. (engine stall, sensor failure, mechanical failure detected etc.)
You can read the 37 frames of the EVENT up to and including all the engine parameters (engine temp, RPM, MAF, vehicle speed etc.) leading up to the EVENT as well as 2 frames AFTER the EVENT.
This is usually only about 2 seconds of data, but the ECM is continually recording the engine data until the EVENT and there are 2 recorders, A and B as well as a start time reliability. (I think that is the nomenclature used?)
The EDR can be accessed with WDS/IDS in the SETUP and CONFIGURATION tab.
