Default Driver’s interior door handle is not locking when I push/fold it

My driver’s door lock is not working when I push on the handle.

There is no such problem when I push the passenger door handle or lock the car using the keyfob. The handle in that case folds in and the door is locked. If I open the passenger door from the inside, it unlocks both doors as intended. If the doors are locked and I open the driver’s door, it unlocks both doors as intended. The only thing that is not working is folding in the interior driver’s door handle. It won’t fold and it won’t lock.

Should I be looking at a microswitch, or a loose part?

Sounds like a microswitch issue to me. One source is mouser.com, part no. Omron D2SW-3L3MS. I would order at least two....

Found the issue. That grey plastic that pulls the lock broke.

I fixed it with a stupid amount of epoxy. I let it cure for a few hours and came back to it. Works as good as new.
