Default Electrical problems after bodywork repairs

Just collected my car from the bodyshop after major damage repair (see: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...my-cat-253839/)

I have to say they made a super job new bonnet, new wing and partial respray so I'm very happy on that score.

Unfortunately, I now have multiple electrical issues:

1. Both wing (side) mirror motors don't work (no adjustment of mirror glass and mirror housings wont fold back.

2. Passenger side window wont respond to switch on driver's door but does work from passenger door switch.

3. Problems with convertible roof: the roof opens and closes ok (than goodness) but there was an initial problem with the passenger rear window not raising and the passenger front window "stuttering". I think these issues have now gone after multiple roof open/close cycles - at least roof is closed and all windows up.

4. Remote door lock/unlock from the fob does not work. It activates the alarm (flashers flash) but does not lock the doors. Doors lock ok with the key.

I dont think they disconnected the battery as the radio did not ask for a code and the front windows dropped correctly when opening the door. I did notice that the trip computer display had changed to show fuel consumption as opposed to total mileage which is how I left it. Not sure but I think the seat position memory may not be working properly.
No issues at all driving, no codes or warning lights etc. All the other electrics seem to work ok (light, flashers, A/C all central switchpack functions etc).

So I'm guessing something got disconnected or a fuse blew when they removed the front driver side wing - maybe a connector going to one of the drivers door modules?

Any pointers much appreciated. Car is now packed away for the winter so it will be a spring job.

Try a reset - battery positive and negative terminals clamped together for 20 minutes. This fixed issues I was having with door mirrors etc

Thanks —can't hurt to try —I'll give it a go when the snow stops falling

My S Type 4.0 did very similar. Sorted itself out after about a week.

I would suspect DDM (Driver's Door Module) circuit wiring or the module itself?
Check the hinge harness or the fuse/circuit problem caused by the damage or the repair.

Can you communicate with the DDM?

Thanks - the key fob does not lock/unlock the doors so I assume no Comms with DDM. All was working fine immediately after the damage (amazingly) when car driven to body shop so I'm guessing a harness/connector issue or a fuse blown when body panels removed.

Default RESOLVED

So went through a fuse checklistThe 25amp fuse #15 in the driver fascia fuse box to the driver door switch pack seemed a reasonable candidate.
Tested good in situ with DVM—pulled fuse and looked good visually. Replaced fuse and voila—internal cabin lights came on, passenger window responds to driver door switch and door mirror motors work including foldback!
Needed to reset the windows again but all functioning properly. Key fob now locks and unlocks the doors.

Don't understand this. Presumably some processor module was out of whack and was reset when I pulled the good fuse. Don't much care I'm a happy camper
