Falling Back in Love?
Hi!
I have owned my 2000 XKR Convertible for a decade now. I've never owned a car longer, or for more miles. I've just Monday sold my 98 XJR which I never quite fell in love with over the 5 years I had it; partially because I had motorcycles and the 00 XKR the whole time I owned it, and the last 2 years, my 07 XKR coupe. Honestly was a decent car, but given I had more fun (to me) fun cars, and better daily compromises (more room), I kind of never attached to it.
Well, my 00 XKR is a fantastic car, I bought it at 23 and I'm turning 33 in a week. I'm attached to it, and have done a lot to make it objectively better than when I bought it a decade ago. Paint job, new leather, refinished wheels, rebuilt suspension and brakes, redone all the cooling pipes/hoses, new-to-me mint wood, new to me alpine stock radio (screen was broken), redid the door and windshield trim, etc. I find myself looking at replacing it with an early Aston Martin DB9 Volante.
Basically, what have y'all long term owners done to keep the love alive?

I haven't had mine as long as you have, but it sounds to me like it is time to start adding more power. Maybe pulley upgrades, or if you can afford it, a twin screw.
