Default Front Lower Control Arms

I need to replace both sides for the front lower control arms on my 2001 XKR. The rearward ones are handed, the forward ones can go either side. I've been searching the net for the last couple of days; bit of a jungle out there with incredible price variations (genuine OEM, not-so-genuine "OEM", reconditioned, used, and probably some Chindia tin in the mix), availability and I've looked at fair number of the usual suppliers (about 20 so far), including some of the bigger names (ie: SNG Barratt, RockAuto, JagBits, ...). Its proving challenging to get something I would have confidence in and at a reasonable price.

Appreciate if anyone could offer some advice to help with my search? What are the thoughts on just replacing the bushings on the forwards ones?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Dave

My thoughts,
Replace the bushings on all unless the failed ones have got into the metal and read on replacing that ball joint, it takes some effort but even having a machine shop do it will be cost effective.
No question about the quality if done this way.

Nobody replaces the entire control arm on these unless it's bent or they're looking to burn through money. It's more cost-effective to do as Wayne says, replacing the bushes and ball-joints in lieu of the entire control arm.

I replaced the lower bushings and ball joints on my XK8 - the ball joint is a bit of a PITA because of the angled surface but all doable as a DIY. I replaced the bushings using PowerFlex poly bushings

I replaced DOZENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when I worked at the dealer.
We did things that were not authorized because the early bushes were JUNK.(like install improved rear bushes in the front section of the front arm)

Jaguar finally acquiesced and issued a TSB.

We got paid anyway for actually FIXING THE PROBLEM.

Thanks everyone for the advice, all sounds comments. I will replace the bushings in the lower, forward control arms. Managed to find two reconditioned rearward ones at an acceptable price. I don't have a press and didn't fancy tackling those ball joints.

you might think about the powerflex set as it is better and cheaper in my opinion
