Gas tank removal
My fuel sender is sticking - shows empty for a time after a fill, with warning light on. Is is a straightforward job to remove the tank from a convertible, to install a new sensor, or is it better to get my independent jaguar engineers to do it? (Any instructions on the forum?)

The tank removal is pretty standard mechanical endeavor. Below is a link to Jagrepair.com that has complete instructions for the tank removal. You can see the steps and decide for your self if you want to do the removal.

Good point, and I'll do as you suggest. It feels like a sticking float, though, as it only happens when I fill the tank from near empty, at which point it reads zero and the low fuel light comes on, then perhaps up to a couple of hours later it returns to normal. I'll report back later.
