What side of town? You can drive for a hour and still be in Houston

 

Primarily maintenance as my old 1998 XK8 is now his and he is not a car guy. Mileage is about 180,000 with engine still original to the car.During my stewardship, I replaced upper and lower tensioners, all hoses etc, however the rest of the running gear has been rebuilt or replaced. Poly suspension bushings.
Currently it is leaving a drop or two of oil on the garage floor nightly. I replaced pan gasket with gasket from dealership and 8 months ago it was dry as a bone. Based on his description, I’m thinking it might be the front cover that was removed over 100,000 miles ago when I did lower tensioners. Would like to find a good indie for him that knows his stuff and can be trusted.

I have had good luck with Mike at Champions Jaguar. He is indie Jag specialist but in high demand so need to schedule

 

Brutal he lives in Richmond. He’s not a car guy and has acquired my old 98 vert. Please see my response above on the current nature of work required. Looking for an indie that knows his stuff and can be trusted.
I live in the San Jose area of Northern Cali and had an old school guy I would take my car to do things either beyond my ability or didn’t have time for. He was in a really ugly area in Oakland, over an hour and a half away, but totally worth the drive. Thanks for your help. Dave (Platinummaker)

Apparently, you didn't notice Brutal's Heading: "TECH-CERTIFIED" ! He is a Jaguar Machinic here in Houston and lives in Damon, TX. A very short distance from Richmond....He is your GUY! Make contact with him "Bill"... Not the other Guy...…...enough said!
