Hey all,
Doing the front shocks and while I have them iff am able to get a look at the mounts. I haven't noticed any play, banging or anything. Vehicle history says some upper mounts were replaced 10k mi ago but don't specify which, the rears were good so could be just them could be all idk.
OEM shocks had a difference in height per side, I can't tell how bad these bushings are since I have no frame of reference. Obviously see the bulge which makes me concerned. I only worry about putting it back together and the car is still off by a couple inches.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
those are indeed shot - they should not be that flat - here is a pic of my bad poly and what a new shock mount should look like along with links to 2 of my upper mount threads. Recommend reaching out to @cjd777 or @baxtor for replacements as they have a very good solution
You have URO mounts and getting 10K was a plus. The ones you can see should be in the 17MM or 5/8 inch range, the inside ones will be flat if not eat up by the sharp edges.
The total height with new mounts and good shocks from the bottom of the spring stand to the top of the mount plate is close to 15 1/16 inch. Have a look at the bellows and bump stops, that can give a clue if the shocks are bottoming out.
If you can get them apart, (the mount part requires a machine shop, or if you feel comfortable taking a spring compressor to the springs), take them off and send them to me. If you have not heard of efforts by members to help greatly with this issue, have a search.

This is what a decent quality spring isolator should look like under load.
Selling that URO garbage should be a hanging offence.
