I've read and looked at just about every utube video on XK8 interior squeaks . Even tho the squeak seems to be coming from the front of the interior, I've had the front shocks and rear shocks replaced . I've taken the steering wheel off to grease the 8 contacts like the jaguar update suggest. i'v removed and used silicon grease to coat the interior of the console front & sides. I' replaced the seat latch rubbers where the seat snaps back to latch the seat when in the normal position. I've even silicone the edges of the two doors. The squeak is like chalk screeching against a blackboard . it squeaks only when hitting a bump, doesn't have to be a hard one. None of the squeaks are coming from the door interior. i've also as one video suggested tightened the screws for the small speakers in the right and left side of the top of the dash. Hoping for helpful suggestions or even a jaguar Squeak specialist that can address this. Thanks to all who respond.

The dreaded squeak - look at your front upper shock mounts and the position of the nut on the top of the shock. When they replaced the front shocks, did they replace the upper mount and how long ago were they replaced? If upper mount was replaced, did they use OEM or aftermarket parts? Does it show signs of crumbling? Is that nut off-center? Pics posted below. Are the nuts holding the shock assembly tight and what about the brace that runs from the shock to the cowl? If there is anything loose with the upper mounts or brace, certain movements (going over bumps) will cause metal to metal rubbing of the brace to the frame which is an annoying noise. I have replaced my upper mounts 3 times in 11 years of ownership

I have a squeak from where the seat belt seems to rub against something if the seat is too low. Maybe fiddle about with the seat height? You don't seem certain where it's coming from.
When my front shock mounts were falling apart, it sounded like a bird was chirping behind the dash. I tried all kinds of things until I replaced the mounts.

Check the windshield stainless for rubbing on glass, small pieces of rubber tape solved my problem. Drove the car on 11hundred mile trip when first got the car almost drove us crazy. Actually think that is why the previous owner sold.
Hi, Till 3 mths ago I had a squeak coming from what I thought was where the windshield meets the dashboard. I was diving in a parking garage with windows open and heard it outside my 2001 xk8. Turns out it was the hood/bonnet latch. Lubricated and tada. It was making me nuts, no matter how loud the music was.
