I am up here in Canada and I suspect this car may have seena little road salt in its lifetime. I work in the auto parts business and one of my suppliers does Zinc Plating for us. He said when you get the parts all off let me have em and hewill run them through his derusting solutions ans zinc plate everythign for me. I know I am the only one that will see it, but I think that will look pretty sharp. I will continue to follow your project with interest.
Daro,
If you can get the subframe and other parts galvanised it will be far far better than what I have done using paint.
A friend had his series II landrover bulkhead stripped and galvanised and from memory it was very expensive but should last almost forever.
What he didn't take account of however was how much all of the holes decreased in size due the the plating being thicker at ends of the metal than in the middle.
Good luck with your project

Next - refurbish and paint rear brake calipers.

As an fyi, these threads are imperial 7/16 unf on the x308 differential, so maybe the same on yours? Gives you something to start on at least.

Hi, I'm about to start doing this job too. You mentioned whislt disassembing, your only regret wasnot marking the camber. What is the lower fulcrum shaft pin, where is it and how do I mark the camber please?

See this pic pinched from GordoGatCar's incredibly clean machine:

The head of the lower fulcrum bolt (Jaguar calls it an 'outer pivot pin') circled in red. There is a tiny arrow on the eccentric circumference which you can line up with a witness mark you need to make on the lower control arm, or you can roll your own pointers. Be careful that you don't lose the marks if you paint the arm, etc., and watch out for the spacers between the arm and the hub carrier.
