Hello all. My hazards are stuck in the ON position...
I've looked but can't find (might just be me) any resource that tells where the fuse is or if there is one...
Any pointers???
A few questions first. Is the button lit up and stuck on? A sticky buttons is common and a good clean around and behind the button often fixes the problem. Be careful if you're spraying it with cleaner as it could stain the black finish. See link below which suggests a permanent fix by removing the console and buttons for a proper clean. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ent-fix-90901/
As for the fuses, I attach a list of the MY2002 fuses but nothing jumps out of this for emergency hazard lights.
Or are the car external lights blinking and dashboard indicators flashing without the button on and lit?
I have pryed and sprayed... I don't really care about staining buttons at the moment. I have no time or way to remove the console at the moment and won't for a while - maybe. I'm at work now, spent the night away from home last night and the damn things will just come on in the middle of the night -- could be on now out in the parking lot... The come on while driving. Complete mind of it's own
I live in NYC and don't drive a lot but she is my daily. I could be stranded at any moment. I hate to say it but I am tempted to just rip the bottom off and drill the guts out of the damn thing out making it inoperative if I cannot find a solution soon...
I feel your pain, and intermittent problems are the worst, especially when you're away from home, and the old cat is doing weird things. A drained battery is the danger not to mention annoyance to others (then them calling you) during the night.
I did suggest the thread with a permanent fix by removing the console and buttons for a proper clean. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ent-fix-90901/
When you're home, this would be better than drilling the button out!
I'm still not clear if the button is the problem. Are the car external lights blinking and dashboard indicators flashing without the hazard button on and lit?
Here's a link to the electrical guides - fig 10.2 shows the Hazard (top right portion of the diagram) but I did not see a fuse or relay in there - looks like it is controlled through the BPM.
What's the matter with these people... Me venting
Anyways, looks like the hazards are tied in with the fog lights? I struggle with electrics, but the way these electrical diagrams are put together ain't no funn...
