Hi an looking for a throttle position sensor for my jaguar xk8 if anyone could help me find one or has one for sale as I have tried to fix my car multiple times w multiple mechanics I have replaced throttle body,fuel pump,gauges,spark plugs,computer it reves at 2500 when started then get poor performance and fail safe obd reader says tps sensor thanks

Please tell us what country you are in in the location slot of your details so we can talk in $ or £ . If in the uk its no problem to get parts.

 

It could be that the TPS plug just needs cleaning. Be sure to disconnect the battery before removing the plugs on the throttle body.

Your TB will look different than the one on my 1999 but cleaning the plug contacts would be the first thing I would do.

I saw a programme on the xk8 with a faulty TPS and they had to change the whole throttle body ( second hand) but of course you need to be sure of the wiring . I understand that it has two sensors on it, They had someone run a diagnostic on it to confirm. Not on US tv
