I adjusted it, but I don't remember everything. There are some clips. Some of the plastic might have broken (in which case it needs to be rebuilt). Look at the whole assembly carefully; you'll see the solution. Check if there are any metal clips on the floor. Don't force the metal mesh (it deforms easily).
if you look at the center of the picture, you can see the black spring clip on the white plastic assembly. That clip fits into a plastic bracket which has most likely fell apart. If you see the pieces inside the dome assembly, the can try and super glue it back together or you can try and find/purchase a replacement
I remember now, I reinforced it by layering paper over the two-part epoxy adhesive I used to glue the plastic pieces. The paper (as long as it's not glossy) absorbs it and becomes rigid. However, the aluminum option seems better to me. I might buy it as a spare.

thanks for the message, but with mine the problem seems to be with the black plastic clip, not the plastic bracket. You can see from the photo that one side of the clip is missing. Any ideas?

). I can't quite see in the photo which piece is broken, but if it's one of the tabs that hold the plastic clips, the solution is difficult. You can try using a piece of plastic (ABS) and appropriate adhesive (preferably two-part). First, treat the surfaces by sanding and applying an activator. Use the largest surface area possible (using the thinnest piece of plastic and applying the adhesive to the base and sides in successive layers).
