Default P0328 Knock sensor OEM / aftermarket recommendations?

Hey everyone,

I’m chasing a P0328 (knock sensor high input) on my XKR.

At first it was intermittent: restricted performance only on cold starts, but it has now become permanent. I’ve already:
  • Cleaned the connector with contact cleaner
  • Reseated the plug
  • Inspected the harness for cracks or exposed wiring
No change.For context:

About 4 years ago I replaced the knock sensors preventively while doing the valley hoses. The hoses themselves are still fine and the valley is completely dry — no coolant leaks at all — so this doesn’t appear to be the typical coolant-soaked failure. Unfortunately I don’t remember what brand sensors I installed back then.

Since I have to pull the supercharger again anyway, I’ll also be upgrading the valley hoses to silicone while I’m in there.

What I’m trying to figure out
  1. Who is the actual OEM manufacturer of the Jaguar knock sensors? (Denso? Bosch? Delphi?)
  2. Are there any reliable aftermarket options people have had long-term success with?
  3. Any brands to absolutely avoid?
I’d rather not do this job twice. So I’m happy to pay for quality, just want to buy the right parts this time.

Thanks!

Just like you I had the knock sensor code that I also could not get rid of. I replaced the 2 knock sensors with ones I got from Autozone. Kinda a pricey but I did not want to wait 5-7 days with an online purchase and not sure what brand I was getting. The advantage of the Autozone purchase is that it comes with a lifetime warranty so if they fail you just return them and get new ones. When I go into my garage later today I will get the details of the ones I purchased. So far, no problems whith them.

For what year (YOM) ?

SNG Barratt has the OEM sensor for $182. Maybe worth the OEM price since replacement takes so much effort, (as mentioned, the supercharger has to come off to access the sensor).

Yeah I can’t find those brands at all for the KNOCK sensor.

How long have you had the autozone ones?
