Default P067f cyl 6 glow plug

Hello friends,
After investing in an advance scanner, I found a few codes. Here the P codes that I found:
I have an error code p067f cylinder 6 glow plug. Circuit high on my 2004 xkr convertible.
How do I check/fix this? Where is the plug regulator located ? I thought glow plugs were for diesel!
My other P code is a p2254, oxygen sensor negative current control. It should not be related from what I know.

The car performance have been pretty poor. Interesting fact is the fuel trim long and short on both banks are within tolerance limits, even with the oxygen sensor problem.

Thanks in advance.
Alex

Hi,
Your scanner seems confused:- neither P-code is listed in the 2003 (latest revision, AFAIK) DTC summaries quick reference guide.

Do you have access to another OBDII reader to cross-check these?

I just checked the DTC tables and as Michael said - nothing for either listed

Are you using the Jaguar part of the scanner and not just the "OBD2" button ?
I have the icarsoft scanner with Jag S/w on it and it is great, reads all the modules on my XK8 even the door module codes.

I used both. The one where you select your model which says 'xk' btw not xk8/xkr/x100 and the obd2 one.
It gave me different results from each but I don't remember which mode reported the glow plug...
I'll check. Are you saying I should avoid the obd2 one?

Thanks

Not sure then, I select XK and 97 on mine and it works a treat.
Yes avoid the generic OBD2, only occasionally is there a reason to use it over the manufacturers version

Ok. Thanks for the advice.
I ended up using sdd. It found a c1295 steering angle sensor circuit open but didn't see that code. I want to check that steering sensor plug but the schematics in the workshop manual are so bad, it's hard to locate. I think I'll need to remove the steering wheel to access it. Looks like a real drag. The weird thing is it doesn't give me an abs/dsc/traction light on the dash. I'd assume that a missing steering angle reading would impact the abs seriously so... strange. Unless it's an old code, not sure, it doesn't say (though says permanent) if it is old code in sdd. It didn't show when in the date or distance graph that was empty. Anyways, I guess I'll have to remove the steering wheel then try to locate that sensor to check it.
Thanks.

I would erase the code and see if it reappears before taking anything apart.

I have a dumb question. How do you clear the code on sdd? I didn't see a way, did I miss something?
Thanks everybody, really, thanks.
