Default Rear main seal??

This seems like a lot of oil flowing from a rear main, anybody have any ideas of other things that would leak this much from that area?

First thing is is it engine oil or transmission fluid or something to do with the power steering . Thats a leak not a weep from a seal .

There is a oil gallery plug above the rear main seal that sometimes leaks.

Oil seal or gallery you will have to take the gearbox out and replace the rear seal /plug

that’s my thought, will be taking it to a mechanic when I can get in, just hoping that it is one of those two because it would be the same amount of work to do both. Just can’t think of anything else it could be, without it being a disaster.

OK, I got it back from mechanic and he said the rear seal was blown out, $1200 later she is back on the road 😁

When I had a bad leak from the back of the motor on the x308, I found that oil galley plug barely finger tight. The rear main seal was fine, but I changed it also anyway as long as I was there.

You might check CRANKCASE pressure? (part and full-load breathers)
