When I replaced my hoses, I switched the two hoses on the pump side and my top was seriously slow and when I corrected the hoses and put them on the right connector, the top worked great.

One of the hoses has a letter on it (think 'F') and if it is on the wrong connector, the top will be very slow.

$1500 for all 6 convertible top hoses installed? I don't think so. The parts alone from Jaguar are over $1000 and the labor involved is another story.

Your website says:
Services Offered
(2) Replacement Hoses, Pump to Latch $325.00 USD
Set of (4) Rear, Right and Left Side RAM Hoses Only $595.00 USD
Full Replacement Set (6) Hydraulic Top Hoses $695.00 USD
Let us do the work, Full Hose Replacement Service $1,500.00 USD
Since the only quantified use of the word "Full" in your menu of services is for a set of 6, claiming that "Full" means only 2 in the next line is at least misleading, if not false, advertising. The only reasonable interpretation of "Full Hose Replacement Service" would be that it includes the "Full Replacement Set" of hoses. And it is not a good or convincing argument that $1,500 is unreasonable based on your assertion that Jaguar charges $1,000 for the set of 6 hoses...particularly since you value the hoses that you sell or install at $695.00 for all 6. And that would pay you more than $800.00 for the labor, which most would consider to not be an unreasonable rate for a day's work.

Well said. How could you not figure that $1500 was for the whole system replacement.
How many people have paid that and not gotten what they thought.
I just found out my front only have been done, no big deal, got a leaking ram and will get it all done.

I've been in touch with my web designer and working to get the wording updated now for better clarification. Should have that updated in a day or so. Sorry if my pricing was confusing to you guys.

100% of my customers call before they visit me or I fly to visit them to confirm the price (just makes sense) and there are no miscommunications in that phone call of the work that will be performed. Rarely do all 6 hoses need to be replaced but it does happen.

I've also done this repair and assisted in this repair way more times than your local Jag dealer (local Jag dealers a lot of times don't want to even touch this repair or take weeks to do it) in a lot of cases and I'm worth every penny and can have your car back to you in 24 hours.

I guess some people don't mind paying for convenience and my expertise. A Jaguar and a Kia will both get you where you want to go. One just has more style. You get what you are willing to pay for.

Maybe you did not read the first post in this thread. And your web site pricing is not "confusing". It is actually very clear. You just don't provide what it clearly says, in writing, that you will provide. Sometimes you get what you pay for...sometimes you don't. Making the menu state what you actually provide is a start toward fixing this.

Bakntyme, are you in the market to get this work done? If so, I'd be happy to give you an estimate in writing.

I choose not to comment on what I know isn't the truth and I don't sling mud, sorry.

Luckily, Marvin, I do not need my XK8's hoses replaced.

That's great! I'd be happy to help you out if you did. For the record, you guys are forgetting there are 2 sides to every story. You only heard one!

Be cautious commenting in this thread. What you could learn from the other side (my side) will shock you.

Merry Christmas!

This is what I said in my last comment:

"Be cautious commenting in this thread. What you could learn from the other side (my side) will shock you".

My comment wasn't aimed at you and you can not take bits and pieces of my comments and call it a threat. Sir, I did not threaten you. People who make threats DO NOT use words like "cautious" I don't even know who you are!

You clearly have had too much egg nog!

Merry Christmas!
