Sat Nav upgrade

Sat Nav update continued
and then I took it all out again.
It was ridiculously easy. Still to do - find some better fixings. Make up and 'lose' the TomTom cable.
When WhiteXKR sends me the boot lead I'll start on the phone. I plan to stick the phone kit in the right hand hole. Speaker grill in the left hand hole.

I do the same thing, buying salavged parts when doing modifications.
How did the center wood piece match up with the rest?

Neat trick - was gonna say this thread made no sense, until I saw you were not attempting to "upgrade" with an obsolete GPS system from Jaguar circa 2006.
I'd like to swap mine out for gauges but that would probably involve a complete new set of wood to keep from looking patchy. But who knows - maybe I can stuff a Kindle or Ipad Mini in where the old GPS used to be....

I was able to do a total dash wood swap, 3 gauge cluster install, which required the wiring harness mod kit from Jagwrangler, for under $450. I love the look, I'm old school I know, but it's a better fit to the X100 platform, imo.
I have a Garmin Novi that is easy as snot to operate, easy also to mount with it's suction cup stand, and is all I need for navigation, period.
