Default Sensor location?

Hello all!
Emerald is showing a code P0706-transmission range sensor "A" fault. Can anyone tell me is that the same as the NSS on the side of the transmission? Or is it somewhere else?

The D4 switch is the most common fault for the P0706 DTC.
If the switch is displaced or broken you will get the DTC.
If the plastic cam plate is loose or broken you will get DTC.

Selecting 4, 3, 2 on the J gate will trigger the fault if the D4 switch does not operate correctly.

The cam plate is part of the selector lever illumination module.
The plastic plate that operates the D-4 switch and follows the selector lever is NSS.(Not Sold or Serviced Separately)

You have 2 choices.
Do NOT use the left side of the 'J' Gate.(no 4,3,2)
or
Find and install a used 'unbroken' plate from another illumination module.
NOTE: There are several different selector lever illumination modules for different gearboxes but the plastic plate should fit most cars with 5 speed gearboxes.
