Sidewindows again…🤦
Hello Jag-lovers.
I have reset my windows many times and battery is ok.
Now question. Can anybody tell me which is the broken micro switch or control box?
Co-driver’s side window drop down, when I lift the door handle, but doesn’t go up, when door is closed.
I’m wondering, should I oder new microswitch before I removal the door panel…
Thanks and regrets the guestion, ehich has been here many times.

Do you get the click at each end of travel when doing the setting procedure? The click is the relays inside the controller and the position is determined by a resistive track not a microswitch. fill in your location so we know if you are a boot or a trunk
Nupaha,
How old is the battery? Has it been checked properly? Have you checked it holds 12.7V? Is the car driven much to keep it charged up? Is the car on a battery tender/maintainer/charger when not in use. Just because the battery starts the car doesn't mean that the battery is healthy.
This is a very picky car when it comes to the battery health. Electrical gremlins start coming on as if the car computer modules don't have enough juice to fire up switches and solenoids. Other signs of a failing battery, for me, is some to no car interior lights, radio asks for security code, weird warning messages on the dash - ie ABS/Trac Control - and even weirder things like low brake fluid warnings. When I get these, and my battery is only 2 years old, either I go for long highway dash, or I stick the car on my battery micro charger. These problems then seem to fix themselves

Yes, I can heard the click so relays are OK. I was wondering, when the door is closed, is it door latch’s micro switch, which doesn’t ”identify”, that now door is closed....🤔
If .....
1. the battery is definitely OK (from test results - not assumed from age)
and
2. you can hear the click of the top and bottom limit switches (and hold each position for 5 seconds to set the limits)
..... then it could be the door 'closed' microswitch. However, this also triggers the Passengers Door Open red warning so I would factor Door Module into the possible causes.
What I wouldn't do is make assumptions and buy parts before taking the door card off for a close examination and test.

Thanks for the tip, Graham. I will check, if the door open warning light works. I have also read, that micro switch’s spring might broke. I hope that it isn’t control box. I believe that those other problems I can fix, but not control box.
