Smile Some electrical help

hi Guys, I'm new to this Forum but from what I see it is very active and has some fairly knowledgable members.
I just sold my modified (414 rwhp ) 99 Corvette and purchased my
4th Jag- a 2002 XK8 convertible with 47000 original miles on it..
Since I've already been indoctrinated into the "Wonderful World of Jauguar Electronic Wizardry" it did not suprise me that the car has a few electrical problems.
I've ordered, but not yet received, a service/shop manual but in the interim I thought I'd ask for some help from the forum. I've used the search function but, maybe because I'm too dumb to phase my inquiry correctly, have not come up with a good answer to my problems.
So here goes:
the power side view mirrors do not work at all. Both side windows work perfectly. I can not find any reference in my fact filled owners handbook that specifically refers to a fuse or relay that controls the side view mirrors.
The tilt steering wheel does not "tilt". It does move foward and aft and the "automatic" function is working. Any suggestion ?
The passenger seat, does "tilt" ( I guess that's compisation for the steering wheel ) but the seat does not move fore and aft. Ideas ?
Any help will be sincerly appreciated. Thank you.
PS, I drove the car 1183 miles back home from Michigan - beautiful ride and 25 mpg !
Also, if any one needs help tuning a C5 Corvette I'd be happy to help.

Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of Jaguar!

You hit a couple of the common problems we run into but first, if you will check the 'sticky' above you can download the complete factory shop manual complete with all electrical schematics . . . for free.

The steering wheel movement issue is typically a failed motor drive cable and the tilt easier to repair than the reach. Here are links to previous discussions:

The seat movement issue is typically a seat control module problem. The passenger module is the same and can be swapped to verify that is or is not the problem. The module failure is usually a failed line on the printed circuit board caused by rubbing the plastic case. Several with proper tools and skills have repaired it DIY. I found a retired Navy electronic tech that repaired mine. And a previous discussion:

Don't have any experience with the mirror issue but here is a fuse chart for the '02:

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I should have mentioned that someone was going to come along and ask that you introduce yourself in the new member forum.

Test Point, sorry about the "Pilot" ' part. Its 5:20 AM and I've been under the car changing all and such since 4:10. Don't ask - its part of getting old.

At the top of this forum there are a number of 'sticky' threads that are just stuck there and never go away. That is where all the wonderful information resides.

. . . and I am propped up in bed waiting on the sun to come up at least. Part of already being old.

Babycar, welcome, you do know this car is going to take a lot of golf time away! Let me rethink that, it's too early for golf, maybe that is where I have been going wrong, need to get out in the garage until daylight.
