Welcome to the forum David,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to XK8/XKR forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Do a fuel pressure test, if OK verify spark at a spark plug, post back.

Bore wash?

(Probably not the key/programming.)

Just guessing, but I'm going to say that one of the fuel pumps has stopped working. Go to: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...torage-161879/

Post #2 explains how to check for fuel supply.

Cheers,

Stu

OE jag tool. But it won't have lost the programming.

I think you are following the wrong trail. If the car turns over and has fuel I do not think you have a security or key issue.

On earlier engines (the AJ26) this could be a bore wash issue (search the forum for information) but it is less likely on your AJ27 engine.

Did you try to jump the car before you recharged the battery with the other car running? It is possible one of the engine management fuses has blown. Check the fuses in the small fusebox under the black plastic cover near the windshield on the passenger side (Left hand drive cars).
