Default Window switch button?

One of my plastic window switch buttons snapped off. I was going to mend it with JB weld or something, but then I lost the button! I'm pretty sure they're ford parts bin, but I can't seem to locate just the black plastic button. Everything works fine--just need that pesky plastic button.

Anyone know a part # or where I can find one?

Hm, so I found this: https://www.ebay.com/p/Ford-OEM-Fron...29A/1711153044

Part #F5RZ14529A

I could probably try to some how pry the button off and snap it onto my module. For the like $13-15 these things are going for, it wouldn't be the most expensive chance to take.

Or hey, never bought anything from Alibaba, but they're 5.99 here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Powe...813165553.html

Default I have this spare unit from scrap donor car

Hi,

I have this spare unit from scrap donor car if you want it. Never used it. Can’t vouch it works, but should serve your purpose. No charge, just PM your address. But post is slow from Bahrain

.

Thanks, David. I just pulled the trigger on an eBay switch off a 97 ford contour. Gave the procedure a little thought--I don't have great faith in myself to pull the button out without snapping one of the loop/tab things. So, I'm just going to break the contour switch itself to get the plastic button off without having to put too much strain on it. We'll see how that goes when it comes in next week.

Just be careful, the switches are kinda a pain in the butt to get back together because of how it's assembled.

The Jaguar switch? I guess on anything, I agree that I (especially) should be careful. For this though, I'm not going to be actually disassembling anything, just popping the button in. I can see the tabs where it snaps in, so it should be a 5 second install. The button itself really isn't integrated into the switch in any meaningful way (I can still operate the window fine without it; it's just super annoying to look at).

The contour switch I ordered is gonna get destroyed in the name of getting the button, though. I'll post a couple pics next week when able. Should be fun!

Gotcha--yeah, that's still good to know though, in case it eventually comes to that.

Default Chill! It’s annoying but still works

I actually think I saw the same switch on a Ford Mondeo I had as a company car way back in 2005.

This is actually one of the great things about our Ford era cars - parts are easy to get hold of and cheap because they were used on 100,000s of cars.

Oh totally. Totally parts bin. It's great. Summit racing has them for like 9.99 as well (but takes a while to ship, and I'm impatient)

For the single window switch, the cross reference is:
1995 1996 1997 2000 2001 2002 2004 2005 2006 2007
Contour, F150 Truck F250 Super Duty Truck F350 Super Duty Truck F450 Truck, F550 Truck Mystique Ford Mercury
F5RZ14529A Power Window Switch, Front Rear Right Passenger Side

Does anyone have the part number on the double switch? My PX window up on that switch is no-op.

If Summit carries these, I'm lucky to have this place not too far down the road...

With a well stocked Pick-n-Pull parts yard, hosting lots of Fords and usually a couple Jaguars, just a mile from Summit if I'm really feeling cheap.

So, I was wrong. The button off the contour switch is slightly bigger (longer) than the jaguar button, so it doesn't fit in the housing. You could sand it down, but then it'd look weird.
