Hi tanngo, all you do is get in the car, put the key in the accessory position just before it starts, roll the window down and close the door. Then raise your window up and hold it in that position till you hear a small tick, happens after about 3 or 4 seconds on my car and presto! the window should drop when door pull is used. Repeat for passenger window and your done. Hope this helps.

don't forget to cycle down and hold the button till a click, then up and when closed, remain held down till a click 4-5 seconds sounds about right.

Is that what you're asking tanngo? The front windows do not drop a 1/2 inch when the door handle is lifted? And it does not seal back to the roof when closed?

I think what he is saying is that the windows are supposed to open when you hit the roof-down button and this is not happening.

My front windows don't go down either when I raise and lower the top, just the rear windows. If you look closely at my signature pic you can see that the front windows are up but the rear windows are down. I believe that is the way its supposed to work. Anyone else want to verify that?

Kevin--you are correct. I believe it is the rear windows that first roll down, then the top goes down, then if you keep the button pressed I think the front windows finally roll down.

My front windows do not go down with the roof switch, even after the top finishes retracting.

I'd run out and test mine to see if I hold down the switch what will happen, but its in the shop getting new double din Kenwood w/ Nav, bluetooth, DVD player, HD tuner, and rear view camera installed. I'll post pics on that this weekend. I'll test the windows when I get it back.

Oops tanngo, I get what the problem is now. Sorry I can't help in the convertible area as I have a coupe. I'm sure you will find an answer on this forum though, its a great group and resource! Good luck and if I learn anything that might help, I'll post it for you.

On my 2001 XKR, the front windows do not go down when the interior switch is used to open the convertible top, however, the front windows do go down when the driver side door lock is used to open the convertible top from the outside with the key.
