Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.-Albert Einstein
I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of IDIOTS. Albert Einstein
This post was very helpful. My 2001 S type air conditioner stopped cooling over the winter. You can get to the low pressure valve by turned the front wheels all the way to the left. Then get on the ground and look behind the drivers front wheel. The valve is on the compressor behind a flexible flap which you can raise up. There is a black dust cap covering the valve. My compressor was not running but after adding 18 oz of r134, it engaged and begin to cool properly. Price was $24 at Walmart for the 18oz can with a hose and gauge. Was much better than a trip to the garage.
If your car was a pound and a half low on R134, I would heavily suspect there is a leak in the system. Did the Wal Mart R134 have dye in it?
