Talking Simple Newb Question (XKE)

I may be in the wrong section, but I need to know who or where I can get a set of XKE (Series 3) half shafts. I'm working on a project where im shortening my XJS rear end. Any information I can get will be well received...

You should be able to get new ones from the usuals (SNG Barrett, XKS.com, Terry's Jaguar) but if I recall correctly WelshEnt.com is an e-type breaker and may have used ones.

Good luck.

Yeah. A few of those places I've called already. They do have new parts available, but not half shafts...but I guess there isn't much demand on half shafts...I don't want to cut and re-weld these XJS axles...

Yeah...You can find XJS and XJ6 parts all day, but XKE and 420 parts are starting to get scarce like chicken teeth...

I meant so you could half shafts to gleefully mutate without feeling guilty.

Another option might be to call ClassicJaguar or even better Monocoque Metalworks. I know Chuck at MM buys parts cars to rebuild bodies (it's in his blog). Maybe he has some half shafts.

Thanks for the info buddy...much appreciated. I will definitely look into this...lol..it wasn't so much as feeling guilty. I just got my hands on some series 3 wishbones, so naturally I would like the factory half shafts to go with them for that clean look. Thanks
