Buying Used 2017 SVR F-Type Conv
Hey new to this so sorry if this has already been asked but looking for advice on what to look for and/or questions to ask if purchasing a 2017 SVR F-Type Convertible.with less then 10k miles? Vehicle has been on the US West Coast since new....THANKS!!
Keep an eye on your differentials. I had a complete front failure on my 2017 at ~11500 miles (also bought used, probably a result of pothole-incurred damage from previous owner).
Not sure how common this is with SVRs, but something to keep an eye on.

OK...got it...thanks gang! I'm new to this so REALLY appreciate your guidance on this...just looking for what questions to ask, any issues I should be aware of, what I should look for and listen to during inspection and test drive, is the price about right, etc...here is what I have:
2017 JAGUAR F-TYPE SVR
- Body: 2D Convertible
- Exterior: Ultimate Black Metallic
- Interior: Jet/Cirrus Stitch
- Doors: 2
- Mileage: 4038
- Engine: 5.0L V8 DOHC 32V Supercharged
- Transmission: 8-Speed ZF Automatic with QuickShift
- Fuel: Gasoline
- Drive: AWD
- Upholstery: Leather
- Internet Sales Price $77,000

Looks clean! Price looks more or less within the standard deviation for these things; I was able to pick up my 2017 coupe with ~10000 miles for $70k, so would definitely think there's a little room for shrewd negotiation.

I looked at a lot of SVRs before I bought my R. That one looks pretty good from the initial post. Study the carfax to look for strange things. I kept finding cars with very low mileage that had been lease vehicles and changed many hands. Not always a bad thing but hurts resale for sure. That price is pretty close but a hair on the high side. Usually, the SVR is about 10k more than the R for the same year and mileage. I agree that there should be a little wiggle room, although I found most places unwilling to negotiate. I got free freight ($1100) and a few other services like detailing thrown in instead. Get really detailed pictures of the whole outside. Underside of the front lip to see if its hit a curb etc. I saw one really nice looking white SVR but when you looked close it had a cracked lower fender and curb rash on 2 wheels. Does it still have both key fobs? Are the original accessories with it like wheel locks and wind screen? I would even consider having them measure tire tread because it will give you some idea of how it was driven those 4000 miles. Mine had 5000 miles and the tires were still at 8/32 evenly all the way around the car.
