Default Loose wire behind front passenger wheel

Took delivery of my dream (and first) car a few days ago. During some semi-spirited driving last night, my dash lit up with several messages: Emergency brake assist not available, Adaptive dynamics fault, ABS fault, Parking brake fault, Stability control not available drive with care, E-Diff not available.

Gave it a wash today and noticed a wire hanging behind the front right wheel. Pictures are attached.

My local service shop won’t be able to see me for another two weeks, so I’m wondering if anyone knows if this is something I can easily get fixed myself.

Thanks!

Nup, no chance, that is always on the LHS not the RHS. For the front that is, opposite on the rear.
Looks more like an ABS wire to me.

Regarding all the faults, the first thing I'd do is give the battery a good charge, it's likely that it wasn't fully charged before you took delivery and low battery voltage can give rise to all sorts of weird faults.

The hanging wire is far more suspect. I’m betting that reconnecting the wheel speed sensor will resolve the warning messages.

I would suggest from the photo it been damaged and will need replacing, you can see the white and black internal cores

Yeah, I realised that when I reread the OP. Properly!

Had a look at the speed sensor cable on my car as I had the front wheels off and looking how low the cable is hanging down in the photo, also the rubber gland on the end of the cable, it must have been ripped out of the plug behind the wheel liner.

Hope you get it sorted.

Phil

The cable probably snagged on something. Were you driving off-road?
