Default KNOCKING NOISE at front suspension

Hi, Through a process of elimination, we are trying to locate a knocking noise in the front of my 2002 S type 4 litre Jaguar. The ball joints have been checked ( tick) steering rack is good.checked 4 bolts on the lower control arm that you adjust when giving a wheel alignment - all good. Every nut has had a spanner on it to check for being tight - all good. running out of options. Could it be engine mounts? could it be the struts ? Could it be the top bearing strut mounts. The noise is on both sides. Knock knock knock going over pot hole and even knocks while slowly driving over a speed hump in carparks.I am at a loss .I don't want to throw money on a part unless it's the answer to the problem. I'd like to get noise / mike sensors wifi to a laptop while driving to locate the noise. I need help with this please.. glennrboyd@gmail.com Australia

Default knocking noise

My problem was, Swaybar links. And Grummet under air box, and inner plastic wind/dirt guard on the other side all loose.

Both mine needed swaybar "D" rubbers to shut them up.

Nothing else.

Well documented "knock" in the S Types, especially the X200 series.

Left Hand is simple, Right Hand is PITA, as heater tap needs removing for access.

Forgot, I do that.

Welcome to the Forum.

When time permits, please do an Intro in the New Members Area, and any vehicle related issues are best in the S Type, X200 section, where many more members will see your ask.
