Cool 01 SK8 ragtop

Bought a garage queen that will continue to be one. She will be my golf, church and trip car. I previously drove a MB SLK300. This is a whole lot more car. It is bigger, more power and more comfortable. I don't know why I never looked at them before. Honestly, the price of an 01 surprised me. They have lost most all of their value. This $70k+ new car is now worth $12,600 because it has ridiculously low miles. The other owner, an 82 year old wonderfully nice fellow did all the normal fixes that it needed, so this car comes to me in need of nearly nothing. I'm learning all there is to know about headlamp jet washers and their covers. Why there aren't any good pictures of R&R of these, makes no sense. I am very sure that many have had to or at least reattach the buggers and their pretty glass covers...

Welcome.

Nice "Queen" for now.

They all start off that way, and then the bug bites harder, and all that goes out the window.

What a Beautiful Jaguar!
It seems a shame to waste such beauty in the garage! Imagine the joy you'll get sharing this beauty with others as you drive around.

Mine was a Garage Queen for many years before she came to live with me. Now she goes almost everywhere I go, and rewards me with Purrrrrrs galore.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Cool Queen

I had an MB SLK300 that was a daily driver and a young, stupid, suspended license, no insurance, borrowed car, young lady of 25 rear ended me at 60mph and destroyed her borrowed car and mine. She was on the freakin phone and never saw me stopped to turn... on the other side, I decided a big ole Ford 150 stepside would be my daily driver and the pacific blue topless lady appeared about 3 weeks later. I'm good with the queen being a fair weather weekend and trip vehicle. May find a few sports car shows somewhere around here and show her off occasionally.

Welcome to the forum Cruisin01,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
